Education is the key to a more developed and engaged society. It creates professional and personal opportunities and transforms people into citizens. The Stefanini Institute is a civil entity, nonprofit, established and maintained by Stefanini IT Solutions, whose mission is to promote economic, social and human development through courses of Basic Professional Training (Formação Profissional Básica).
Goals:
Promote Professional Training for young people and adults, with the purpose to train them and/or provide new training to work mainly in the IT industry, in an integrated way with the served community.
Support community actions that aim for social insertion of all its members, with the purpose to improve human development indicators and preparation for citizenship. Contribute to reducing social and digital exclusion through disclosure of information and feasibility of technological access and resources.
Reason for existence
What does a company like Stefanini want to achieve with the creation of a project like the Institute that bears its name? The goal was to go beyond understanding that people need to receive the opportunity to grow, and to create opportunities for them to learn and have a chance in the "Knowledge Society", where science and technology permeate production processes. Traditional education is primordial, but it is not enough.
That is why Stefanini assumes the posture of a "Good Corporate Citizen," suggesting and leading ways to serve the most poorest segments of the population, seeking their engagement in actions inside and outside the Institute, aiming the democratization of new technologies, placing "digital and technological literacy" as a means of insertion of these people in the labor market.
Addresses of the Institute:
